Teeth Whitening in Campbelltown
At Campbelltown Dental Care, our teeth whitening treatment is planned and supervised by a registered and trusted Campbelltown dentist. We offer two options: in-chair whitening with the Philips Zoom system, done in one appointment at our clinic, and take-home whitening, using custom trays you wear at home. Before either, your dentist checks your teeth and gums to make sure whitening suits you and to explain what result you can realistically expect.
We are at 214 Queen St, Campbelltown, and open 7 days.
Enjoy the convenience of whitening your teeth at home for $290 or in the office for $490 with our Zoom Whitening special offer.

In-chair or take-home: which suits you?
Both options are prescribed and supervised by your dentist. The main differences are how fast you see a change and how much of the work happens at home.

What Is Philips Zoom Teeth Whitening?
Philips Zoom is a professional teeth whitening system available only through dental practices. At Campbelltown Dental Care, we use Philips Zoom WhiteSpeed for in-chair whitening:
- Your dentist checks your teeth and gums and records your starting shade.
- A protective barrier is placed along your gumline.
- Zoom whitening gel is applied and activated with the WhiteSpeed blue LED lamp over a few short cycles. The lamp’s intensity can be adjusted if your teeth become sensitive.
- Your teeth are rinsed, your new shade is compared with your starting shade, and a post-treatment gel is applied to help reduce sensitivity.
How much lighter your teeth become depends on your starting shade and the type of staining, so results vary from person to person. Like all whitening, Zoom can cause temporary tooth sensitivity or gum irritation. Your dentist will talk you through this before you start.
Is teeth whitening right for you?
Professional whitening can lighten natural teeth that have yellowed with age or picked up surface stains from coffee, tea, red wine or smoking. It works on natural teeth only.
Whitening may not be suitable, or may need to wait, if you:
- Have untreated decay, gum disease, cracked teeth or exposed roots
- Are pregnant or breastfeeding
- Have crowns, veneers, bonding or fillings on your front teeth, as these will not change colour and may look mismatched afterwards
- Have discolouration from inside the tooth (for example, a tooth darkened after injury or root canal treatment, or staining from some medications), which usually needs a different treatment
Not sure whitening will work for your teeth? At Campbelltown Dental Care, your dentist will check your teeth and gums, talk through the shade you’d like, and explain whether in-chair or take-home whitening suits you best. If whitening isn’t the right fit, we’ll tell you before you start your treatment.

Frequently Asked Questions
How much does teeth whitening cost in Campbelltown?
At Campbelltown Dental Care, take-home whitening is $290 and in-chair Philips Zoom whitening is $490. You will need a dental examination first; if you haven’t had a recent check-up, and our Campbelltown dentist will discuss with you the treatment options.
How long does teeth whitening last?
It varies. Results fade gradually, and coffee, tea, red wine and smoking speed that up. Good oral hygiene, regular cleans and occasional touch-ups with take-home trays help results last longer.
Can yellow teeth go white again?
In most cases, yellow teeth can be made noticeably lighter, because yellowing from food, drink, smoking and aging usually responds well to whitening. How light they become varies from person to person. Grey discolouration, or a tooth darkened from the inside, often needs a different treatment.
Does teeth whitening hurt?
Whitening is not usually painful, but temporary sensitivity to hot or cold is common. It usually settles on its own. Tell your dentist if you already have sensitive teeth, as treatment can be adjusted.
Does teeth whitening damage enamel?
When whitening is assessed and supervised by a dentist and used as directed, it is not expected to damage enamel. Overusing whitening products, or using products from unregulated sources, carries more risk.
Can I whiten crowns, veneers or fillings?
No. Whitening only changes the colour of natural teeth. If you have crowns, veneers or fillings on your front teeth, your dentist will discuss how to avoid a mismatch, which may mean replacing a restoration after whitening.
Which is better, in-chair or take-home whitening?
Neither is better for everyone. In-chair whitening gives a change after one appointment; take-home whitening works gradually and may suit sensitive teeth. Your dentist will recommend the option that suits your teeth and goals.
